Privacy notice
Publisher privacy practices
This notice describes information handled by Who Knows Studios LLC when operating the Food Truck System licensing site, store, customer portal, support, release delivery, and trial service. It does not describe food-truck records stored only on a Customer-controlled server or device.
Information collected
- Identity and contact information, including business name, owner name, billing and business address, email, and support correspondence.
- Account and licensing information, including one-way password hashes, recovery-question records, temporary password-reset token hashes, license capacity, activation identifiers, trial eligibility signals, and support status.
- Transaction information, including order identifiers, amounts, status, refunds, and payment-provider references. Full card numbers are entered with and handled by the payment provider.
- Technical and security information, including IP address, user agent, request logs, device/workstation identifiers, reported shop-server URL, acceptance records, and release-download activity. Trial network addresses are transformed into keyed fingerprints rather than retained as raw addresses.
How information is used
Publisher uses information to process orders, issue and enforce licenses and trials, operate accounts, deliver releases, provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, secure services, maintain tax and business records, and comply with law. Publisher does not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Customer-hosted shop data
Customer records, work orders, employee time entries, inventory, and forms ordinarily remain in the storage environment selected by Customer. Publisher receives that data only when Customer intentionally sends it for support or uses a separately described hosted service. The repair shop is responsible for its notices and lawful handling of its own customer and employee data.
Sharing
Information may be shared with service providers needed for payment, email, hosting, security, and support; with professional advisers; to complete a business transaction; or when required to protect rights, users, or comply with law. Service providers are expected to use information only for the contracted purpose.
Retention
Order, acceptance, license, security, and tax records are retained for legitimate business and legal needs. Support and operational records are retained only as reasonably necessary. Records may remain in protected backups until normal rotation. Publisher deletes or de-identifies information when it is no longer reasonably needed, subject to legal holds and required retention.
Security
Publisher uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. No system is completely secure. Customers must protect their credentials and report suspected misuse promptly.
Cookies and sessions
The store and portal use essential cookies or equivalent browser storage for authenticated sessions, recovery verification, request protection, and checkout continuity. These are not used for cross-site advertising.
Choices and requests
Customers may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of publisher-held personal information by emailing admin@wks-hq.com. Publisher may verify identity and may retain information where legally required or needed for security, fraud prevention, contracts, tax records, or legal claims. Applicable law may provide additional rights and appeal options.
Children
Publisher services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13.
